Participation in Government Grade 12 (Spring Semester) ½ Credit
This course is an overview of contemporary issues in American society; it investigates thought-provoking issues such as capital punishment, the fairness of the justice system, the role of the media and technology in the decision-making process, free speech, and political process. Culture conflict, social mobility, immigrant issues and how institutions impact the decision-making process will be discussed. In addition, the constitution as the frame work of our great country is woven in throughout the course.
