The prekindergarten learning expectations are becoming more and more rigorous.  As today’s rigorous prekindergarten learning expectations continue to evolve, it’s more important than ever to ensure that our littlest learners receive daily instruction in the foundational literacy skills.  Literacy is taught across all content areas and is evident throughout the Interest Areas in the classrooms.

The teachers and staff are committed to student improvement and success.  We are focusing our efforts and energy on ongoing assessments in literacy and math.  This process will support us in getting a strong sense of where our students are, and to know where we need to take them on their educational journey.

We continue to build on the foundation we started last year with the district’s direction of implementing the Professional Learning Community framework.  This will allow us to continue the process of having a collaborative culture and collective capacity to design and deliver lessons that maximize the probability that all students will learn.

Our doors are open and we welcome you to visit and observe learning and fun at it’s best.

    Best regards,

    Will Washington
