Welcome Families to ALP Math!

 In math, the strongest shape is the triangle. Together you, your child and I will build a triangle to ensure your child has a successful year. By working with each other, we will create a caring environment that encourages the growth and development of your child’s learning experience this year. Math classes will embrace growth mindset to help students reach their full potential. Students will engage in an inquiry environment that values student growth and understanding helping students stretch into their optimal learning level.

 The inquiry environment will consist of Math Talks that use aspects of Shared Inquiry. Students will improve their ability to explain their understanding and apply math strategies in math journals.  Inquiry tasks will help students to explore the language, understanding and applications of math content presented in class.

 I am so excited to start our journey of the Advanced Learning Program together!
