Greenburgh Facilities Consolidation

A Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been completed and accepted by the Greenburgh Central School District Board of Education, as Lead Agency, for a project to consolidate facilities within the school district and integrate educational resources and staff at the District's Warburg Campus, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York. The project would include an addition to Lee F. Jackson Elementary School and renovations to the existing building to house grades pre-K through 2; approximate 150,000 square foot new 3-8 School building to house grades 3 through 8; renovations and modernization of Woodlands High School; construction of new athletic facilities and renovations of existing playfields; construction of an access roadway to connect the east and west sides of the Campus, parking, and outdoor educational spaces; and the closure of Richard J. Bailey and Highview elementary schools located elsewhere in the District. The program will require the approval of a bond referendum by the residents of the District.

 

A special meeting scheduled for Monday, October 29, 2018, at 7 p.m. has been CANCELED at the Woodlands Middle/High School Cafeteria, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, NY for the Board of Education to review the findings of the environmental review process.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been completed and accepted by the Greenburgh Central School District Board of Education, as Lead Agency, for a project to consolidate District facilities at the Warburg Campus, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York. The project would include additions and renovations to Lee F. A public hearing to receive public comments on the Draft EIS will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 6:30 pm, at the Woodlands Middle High School Cafeteria, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, NY. Written comments will be accepted by the Lead Agency contact person, Mary O’Neill, until the close of business on October 4, 2018.
