Woodlands Freshman Speaks at United Nations Day

harshita shet Congratulations to Woodlands High School freshman Harshita Shet, who was invited to speak at United Nations Day 2018, held at the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation in White Plains on Sunday, Oct. 21. Harshita was the event's only student presenter, and spoke about teacher and student engagement. The keynote speaker for the event was teacher, journalist and author Kathy Eldon, who is co-founder of Creative Visions Foundation, a global organization that supports creative activists. The event also featured a panel discussion with Rock Your World director Jessica Burnquist, Somers Middle School teachers Tricia Baldes and Carolyn Shilinski, and Judge Delores Braithwaite.
