WMHS hosted its 3rd Annual Geographic Spelling Bee

On Tuesday, January 28, Woodlands Middle High School hosted its 3rd Annual NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BEE with students from Woodlands and Richard J. Bailey!

Musa Abdullah (7th grade), Sameeha Ahmed (6th grade), Saintcom Chauvette (7th grade), David Dierssen (7th grade), Michelle Granda Rengifo (7th grade), Leonardo Llorente Valin (7th grade), Giannalynn Menucci (7th grade), Jake Morton (6th grade), Donovan Russell (6th grade), and Michael Udeobi (7th grade) competed to become the District Champion!

Michelle Granda Rengifo came in 3rd place, Giannalynn Menucci came in 2nd place and Leonardo Llorente Valin took 1st place!

Leonardo now has the opportunity to potentially represent Greenburgh CSD in the State Bee in March and then the National Bee in May for a chance to win college scholarships and bragging rights! Congratulations to all participants!
