It is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a recognition of those who have chosen a profession that puts their life on the line every day. Here in Greenburgh, we are beyond fortunate to have developed a strong partnership with our police department and other safety officials, with many officers being familiar faces in our hallways. They've taught us about all aspects of safety - from walking on busy roads to digital well-being to how to call for help to bullying. And students have even taught them a thing or two, like during STEAM week when Officer Killiebrew got a taste of coding from the WMHS class. Having these officers develop open and trusting relationships with students is critical and we appreciate the many hours that they give to us. We also think it's pretty apparent that Officer Zenon enjoys a good hug!
