WELCOME TO THE GREENBURGH CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
I come to you as a lifelong educator—having served as a teacher, principal, and district leader—and as someone who deeply believes in the transformative power of education. The district’s motto, “Our Children. Our Focus. Our Future.”, perfectly reflects a shared vision and centers us in one profound truth: when we elevate the needs, voices, and dreams of our students, everything else aligns. STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: TREYSON THELUSMA (CLICK HERE)
Whether it’s solving complex math problems or hitting the right notes on his trumpet, WHS senior Treyson Thelusma credits his success to facing fears and pushing beyond his comfort zone. “The more involved I became in school, the more of a shift I felt in myself and my abilities,” Treyson said. “I started to challenge myself more in 11th grade. I watched my friends doing things I thought were too risky. (Click Above To Continue)

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: NICHOLAS HANAGAN (CLICK HERE)
When it comes to skiing, what WHS Salutatorian Nicholas Hanagan likes most about it is the speed and solitary nature of the sport. “I like to be able to rely on myself,” he shared. However, when speaking about his academic success as a Greenburgh Central School District student, it’s the whiff of friendly competition amongst friends that fuels his motivation... STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: CINDY GUZMAN (CLICK HERE)
WHS senior Cindy Guzman knows the essential elements for success on the runway: balance, follow through, focus, position to the right, and aim at the first arrow. Cindy is Woodlands High School first-ever female bowler to earn a spot on the Section I Composite All-Star Team and compete in the NYSPHSAA State Championship held this past weekend in Syracuse, NY. STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: LEO LLORENTE VALIN (CLICK HERE)
Woodlands High School Valedictorian Leo Llorente Valin has a way about him that some might describe as quiet confidence. When asked about his accomplishments during his high school career, Leo’s response is both genuine and reserved. “I think I did pretty well,” he said. Earning the coveted distinction of Valedictorian as an IB Diploma Programme student is no easy feat, and Leo’s modesty reflects his ability to keep grounded, stay positive, and take it all in stride. STAFF SPOTLIGHT: ANTHONY GAINES (CLICK HERE)
Basketball is more than just a game for Anthony Gaines, social worker at Woodlands Middle High School. He’s not only seen how the sport has benefited his students as a former coach for the WHS varsity basketball team and current coach for Woodlands modified and My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) teams, he knows the value from personal experience.
