The District convenes a representative District Wellness Committee/Council (DWC) that meets at least four times per year to oversee and establish goals for school health and safety policies and programs, including the development, implementation, and periodic review and update of District Wellness Policy #5661.

To promote whole-child health, nutrition, and well-being through an equitable lens, the District will create an environment that ensures all students and staff have access to health and wellness efforts. Healthy eating and daily activity benefit students by improving their academic performance, and increasing social and emotional wellbeing.
