The first week of school wrapped up with two wonderful traditions on Saturday — the PTA family and community meet & greets at Highview and Lee F. Jackson Elementary Schools!
At Highview, PTA President Lauren O’Keefe shared, “It’s a nice way for families and students to reconnect at the start of the year.” One parent added, “Community events like these make it special.”
At Lee F. Jackson, the event expanded into a true community celebration with support from the Greenburgh Public Library, Greenburgh Police Department, Fire Department (serving up grilled hotdogs & hamburgers, and Hwa Rang Taekwondo of White Plains, who gave an incredible playground performance!
A huge thank you to all the volunteers, families, and community partners who made these gatherings possible. Here’s to a strong start and an even stronger year ahead. Check out our Facebook page for more photos: facebook/greenburghcsd.com.
