Greenburgh Hosts Fourth Annual Night of Summer Fun SELebration

On Tuesday, June 9, GCSD welcomed students and families from across the district for the Fourth Annual Night of Summer Fun SELebration. The district-wide event, open to all PK-12 students and their families, brought the community together for an evening focused on social-emotional learning, wellness, family engagement, and summer activities.

More than 250 students, parents, caregivers, and community members attended the event, enjoying a variety of interactive activities designed to promote fun, learning, and connection. Families participated in a wide range of experiences, including a bubble show, dunk tank, sensory activities, yogurt parfait making, a trail mix station, summer reading resources, journal decorating, and many other engaging opportunities.

The success of the event was made possible through the collaboration and dedication of numerous individuals and organizations. Teachers, administrators, Woodlands Middle/High School student volunteers, the Greenburgh Public Library, the Fairview Fire Department, the Falcon Booster Club, the Wellness Committee, the Woodlands Middle/High School No Place for Hate Committee, PTA members, and Board of Education members all contributed their time and talents to create a memorable evening for families.

In addition to supporting the event, the Falcon Booster Club raised funds through the sale of candy and hot dogs. Special thanks go to the members of the Fairview Fire Department, who generously volunteered their time to grill and serve food throughout the evening.

The Night of Summer Fun SELebration continues to be a valued district tradition, providing students and families with opportunities to build relationships, explore healthy summer activities, and strengthen community connections. The district extends its gratitude to everyone who participated and helped make this year's event another outstanding success.
