October is a time to recognize the significant contributions Italian Americans have made to our country and the world.
Did you know that more than 5 million Italians immigrated to the United States between 1820 and 2000? Today, more than 16 million Americans identify as having Italian ancestry, making Italian Americans one of the largest ancestry groups in the United States.
From science and the arts to food, architecture, business, and countless other fields, Italian American heritage is woven into the story of our nation.
