All media inquiries, interview requests, requests for official statements, filming requests, and photography requests involving the Greenburgh Central School District should be coordinated through the Public Information Specialist.
FILMING, PHOTOGRAPHY & INTERVIEWS
To ensure student privacy, minimize disruption to the instructional environment, and maintain accurate and coordinated communications, filming, photography, and interviews on Greenburgh Central School District property require prior approval from the District.
Requests should be submitted in advance and include the purpose, location, individuals involved, and anticipated date and time.
PUBLICATIONS
The Greenburgh Central School District shares information with families and the community through a variety of official communications, including district publications, website updates, social media, news releases, and other digital and print materials.
STUDENT INFORMATION AND PHOTOGRAPHY
In accordance with applicable federal and New York State laws, the Greenburgh Central School District may release designated directory information for educational and communication purposes unless a parent, legal guardian, or eligible student (18 years of age or older) submits a written request to withhold such information.
Directory information may include a student's name, photograph, participation in school activities or athletics, honors and awards received, grade level, dates of attendance, and other information permitted under applicable laws and District policy.
Parents, legal guardians, or eligible students who do not wish to have directory information or photographs released must submit a written request to the Superintendent of Schools by the established deadline each school year. Failure to submit such a request will be considered consent for the release of directory information as permitted by law.
