Aligning the IB Learner Profile and the New York State Portrait of a Graduate to Support Student Success Greenburgh Central School District is committed to preparing every student to thrive in college, careers, and civic life. To achieve this vision, the District aligns the International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profile with the New York State Portrait of a Graduate.
These complementary frameworks identify the knowledge, skills, and character students need for success. The IB Learner Profile guides students' growth from kindergarten through Grade 12, while the New York State Portrait of a Graduate defines the outcomes students should demonstrate by the time they graduate from high school.
Together, they provide a shared vision that guides teaching, learning, and student growth across every grade level.

The IB Approaches to Learning (ATL) describe how they get there by developing essential skills in thinking, communication, collaboration, research, and self-management.
